Stephanie started working with my lab after a failed attempt at training. I wanted private lessons at home for my lab ,Layla, so she could get used to her new home. Stephanie came once a week for training & Layla made leaps & bounds in her training! Layla actually like her lessons & LOVED Stephanie!! She was great to work with & reasonably priced! We couldn’t be happier with the training we received from Stephanie for our very large & strong dog, Tank. Walking was not fun…all he did was pull. It got to the point where only Dan could walk Tank as he would overpower me & ‘mush’ me anywhere he wanted to go. I was physically unable to stop him & had heard from multiple strangers that I have no business walking a dog that large. Very disheartening to hear from strangers something you don’t want to admit to yourself! I thought it was hopeless but a few weeks into our in-home training sessions, Stephanie had turned things around. Walking is now pleasant & not at all stressful. Strangers now comment on how I am finally walking Tank instead of the other way around. Stephanie truly is amazing! I would recommend her to anyone with no reservations!!!

We added a German Shepherd to our family and contacted Stephanie because we have two small dogs and a 2 year old knowing our dog will be a huge dog we wanted to make sure he was well behaved and Stephanie taught us how to teach him to follow commands and he is now a great well behaved dog for only being four months old and now we are done with are classes she has given us the knowledge to keep improving his manners…..thank you so much Stephanie!

Wyatt graduated from Stephanie’s training on August 5, 2014. Prior to training we would walk him in the neighbourhood and around the Westwood shopping center. He would lunge and bark at every car, person or other dog. This became impossible. We were ready to give up walking him. After training his has become well behaved on his walks and he looks forward to his daily walks. As an eleven month old Sheltie he still has other training issues that Stephanie has given us instruction. We are working on these issues. Wyatt loved Stephanie. She is a true dog lover!! I was struggling with a Giant Schnauzer puppy, jumping on everyone, stealing things from the counters, and having accidents in the house. Lexi was walking me when and if I took her out. Stephanie taught me how to handle this 70 lb. puppy and also taught me to understand how the dog was feeling as well. She showed me what to look for and how to become the “Boss” instead of being “Bossed” After 6 training sessions with Stephanie, Lexi now knows how to sit, stay, heel and even shake. She looks forward to her walk everyday and it is truly enjoyable for me as well. She also knows that the counter tops are off limits!! Rusty is my 7 month old full-blooded Australian-Shepherd.

I waited 25 years to get an “AUSSIE”. He is extremely intelligent and has a terrific personality. I knew thru my research that he was a very smart young lad and I didn’t have the knowledge to train him properly.

My husband and I were having a difficult time house training and teaching simple commands to our two Chorkies (Chihuahua Yorkie mixes) Presley and Logan. We needed training techniques that worked, so we looked to Stephanie for help. After just two sessions and an adjustment to Presley and Logan’s schedule, we saw a drastic drop in the number of accidents the were having in the house. Now after completing our time with Stephanie, we have fully established signals for when they need to go out. Presley and Logan are listening more attentively and performing commands like little champions. We are very appreciative of all of Stephanie’s hard work.

We recently adopted a shelter dog, who we named Ole’, who must have had a rough past life. While he is truly a loving boy, he did come with a lot of anxiety/stress related aggression that was territorial related. He would meanly bark and nip at visitors & become this whole other dog once you rang our door bell/knocked on the door. He’d pee on the floor & had a hard time being comfortable/settling down with anyone else in the house besides my boyfriend & I. Stephanie/”Lead Me On” came to our house and took time to assess Ole’, and really focused our sessions on not only training Ole, but taught my boyfriend Mike and I what we need to do to help Ole in getting to a point where he is less anxious/territorial.
All of our family and friends have noticed a great difference in Ole, his true personality is starting to show to others, and he’s able to just enjoy being a dog a bit more.

I was overwhelmed by my very energetic border collie mix. When searching the internet I was grateful to find Lead Me on Dog Training and decided I would give it a try. I am so thankful that I did! My dog just completed puppy obedience training and I plan on furthering his training as well. I never thought in a thousand years that my dog Winston would heal on walks or wait at the door. I contacted Lead Me On to help my 2 year old Weimaraner, Duke, who had some issues with new people coming to the house or approaching him outside. I got a really quick response from Stephanie and we set up 5 sessions for Duke. We worked with Duke at our home a few times but Stephanie met us at a (very busy) vet’s office for some socialization practice as well as Petco. I was so pleasantly surprised with how well Duke did with only a few sessions with Stephanie. I am now much more confident in being able to take Duke to public places (yes, Stephanie helped not only my dog, but me as well). I have had several new people in the house lately, and Duke has been much more accepting of the new norms for greeting people and with being less nervous. I would recommend Lead Me On and Stephanie to anyone who is looking for an experienced, highly communicative, and helpful trainer.

Just wanted to say Thank You to Stephanie for the wonderful job she did with Midnight. Midnight is our 10mo old 95 pound German Shepherd and we had lots of problems with him running, pulling on the leash, and basically just not listening to us. Now, with Stephanie’s help, he walks very well on the leash, he is more calm and he comes back in the yard when we ask him too! He will also sit by us when we are talking to someone instead of pulling us every direction! She has helped our puppy be much more manageable – and Midnight just loved her (so did we!) I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone having any kind of problems with their dog!

Stephanie has been helping me with my German Shepherd, Milo. He’s a very sweet dog, but extremely territorial and dog aggressive. In 5 classes we had him out in the streets walking by a bunch of other dogs, children riding on bicycles and numerous other situations I thought he couldn’t handle. He was heeling beautifully, we even had many people comment on how well trained he was (What?? My dog?!!??!)! She also taught me how to safely bring people into my home without him becoming territorial. This past weekend I had a small party at my home, everyone was initially scared of him because he’s a GSD, but by the end of the night they all fell in love with him! He is still a work in progress and I cannot wait to see where he will be after another 5 classes with Stephanie!!

Our dog Ryot was fairly well behaved however he pulled while walking on a leash and would not go down the basement stairs. After our first meeting Ryot walked down the stairs all by himself like he had never been afraid. Stephanie taught us how to work with Ryot to get him walking nicely and although he was very stubborn she didn’t give up! At our last meeting he was heeling and walking nicely like he had been doing it is whole life. We very much appreciate Stephanie’s help and have already referred a few friends to her! I called Stephanie for help with training our dog Kobe that was bounced back and forth between the humane society and homes. Stephanie did wonders with training me on how to use the proper commands for Kobe. Kobe obviously had been trained previously and is a wonderful dog. As his new (much smaller than he is) owner I wanted to keep up with his training so I wouldn’t ruin or spoil the well mannered gentleman that he is. We adopted Hunter, a boxer/pitbull mix, when he was 1. He started off as a friendly dog, but about 6 months after we brought him home he was attacked by another dog. He recovered very well physically, but the attack changed the way that he felt about people. He was fearful of strangers, which quickly turned into aggression. We searched for a trainer in Pittsburgh that could help Hunter. We tried a highly recommended trainer in Pittsburgh. She told us that there was nothing that she could do for him and that our only hope was to medicate him and keep him away from people. Then we found Stephanie. Within minutes of meeting Hunter they were best friends. Not only has Hunter successfully met ALOT of new people, we are finally able to walk him without being pulled down the street! I cannot say enough great things about Stephanie. She has made such a difference in our lives and helped to make Hunter the sweet, friendly dog that we always knew that he was.
